The Police Role in
Combating Terrorism program is a two-week interactive seminar for law
enforcement managers and executives offered by the Diplomatic Security
Service’s Anti- Terrorism Assistance Program. The program is designed to teach law
enforcement theories and models of police management as they apply to
institutionalizing anti-terrorism competencies. Particular emphasis is placed on the
strategic planning and executive leadership required to
institutionalize new anti-terrorism competencies in a modern law
enforcement or security agency. These concepts will be taught in the abstract
using brief lectures and exercised in a course-long notional problem utilizing
group discussions, group exercises, and role-play exercises.
