Summary

The Police Role in Combating Terrorism program is a two-week interactive seminar for law enforcement managers and executives offered by the Diplomatic Security Service’s Anti- Terrorism Assistance Program.  The program is designed to teach law enforcement theories and models of police management as they apply to institutionalizing anti-terrorism competencies.  Particular emphasis is placed on the strategic planning and executive leadership required to institutionalize new anti-terrorism competencies in a modern law enforcement or security agency. These concepts will be taught in the abstract using brief lectures and exercised in a course-long notional problem utilizing group discussions, group exercises, and role-play exercises.
